Spot neighed and bobbed her head as i walked oer to her stall. I opened the stall door and Spot tried to rush out. *aww, girl, i know you want to go out! soon enough!* I cooed to her. I put up the rop and left her stall door open so she could watch me. I grabbed a box of brushes and her light outdoor rug from her box. Setting it down near the stall in easy reach i se to work brushing spot. She walked restlessly around me so i crosstied her in the stall. I stepped back and looked at Spot. She was trying to nip at something near her belly but the cross ties were stopping her. I shrugged and clipped a lead shank to her halter and took her off the cross ties. The filly tried to bolt out of her stall but i steadied her. She buckled her legs and tried to roll. I pulled her up and now i was worried. I took her out side and walked her around. she constantly nipped at her belly and she wasn't stopping to graze. I put Spot back in her stall and went to call the vet *Lizzy , Candy? *

I walked inside the stall and spot shied at me. I was shaking but i didn't let the poor horse see it i firmly grabbed her halter and walked her around the stall. "how long will i have to do this?" i asked in a shaky voice. "isn't there somethuing you can give her?" Spot neighed as if to ask lizzy for help.

yeah there is, but i have to go get it, and the best thing for her until i get back is to keep her walking and talk to her, shes as nervous as u r, she has pain in her tummy, and has no idea what it is!!!, so she'll try and get by rolling and kicking, all of which can lead to a twisted gut, if that happens, then we will HAVE to put her down, so keep her moving, i will be write back!!!

I grabbed Spot and pulled her around in circles with me. i Was clearly as nervous as my baby. I watched Lizzy run to get the medicine to help. I whispered to Spot to calm her down but she did not want any of it. She constantly nipped and pulled me around to her belly. I grabbed her lead rope and put the chain over her nose. She quieted down but only a little. I heard foot steps in the aisle

i jogged into the stall and gently took the lead from Star, "shhhh, sweetie", i said as i gave her a shot, she fliched and then began to slowly quiet, "thats a girl, i said, then i whispered in her ear, and began to sing to her, her step became heavy, and i took the halter and lead off, Spot continued to move with me, so i now knew she trusted me, i did this for about 2o min, all the while singing to her, then i agaon whispered in her ear and she layed down, soon in a peaceful sleep, "you or i will have to watch her for the next 10 hours, i think all she had was gas colic, so she should be fine, if you need ANYTHING, let me know immediatly!

Ok." i said watching the sleeping horse. I sat down in the stall and leaned my head against the wall. I was exhausted but i stayed in with Spot and watched for what seemed like hours. Lizzy came and went and it got dark out. I look at the clock and saw that it had been 7 hours. I yawned and thought *only three more hours to go*
